VIVA Cruises has scheduled an epicurean travel experience with its inaugural gourmet river cruise on VIVA ENJOY.

This maiden voyage (titled Gourmet-Cruise Falstaff Edition) is scheduled for November 20–24, 2025. The 5-day roundtrip from Vienna visits the Austrian port cities Krems, Melk, and Linz before returning to Vienna.

The ship’s crew have assembled a team of culinary specialists to enrich the journey: a designated bread sommelier, a master coffee roaster—Johanna Wechselberger—and a Master of Wine, Romana Echensperger. Their roles include conducting tastings, presenting fine dining menus with carefully selected wine pairings, and guiding guests in appreciating the nuances of bread, coffee, and wine in relation to modern Austrian cuisine.

The itinerary further unfolds with an exclusive tram-based gourmet tour of Vienna, a private dinner hosted at the Albertina Museum, and a visit to the Sandgrube 13 winery in Krems.

The January 2025-launched VIVA ENJOY has 95 staterooms (accommodating 190 passengers), three dining venues, and brings shipboard all‑inclusive accommodation to a new level: full board, an open bar, minibar, high tea, Wi‑Fi, brand beauty products (from Rituals), and full gratuities are all part of the experience.

A wellness area and solar-assisted systems further enhance the ship’s ambiance, complementing its contemporary Scandinavian-inspired design.

This voyage reflects VIVA Cruises’ commitment to immersive cultural journeys, blending destination-led cuisine and regional expertise with comfortable, environmentally conscious river cruising. Priced from GBP 1,495 per person, the gourmet experience includes all onboard events and tastings.

As VIVA ENJOY embarks on her culinary maiden voyage, the river will host a flowing celebration of Austrian tastes, traditions, and hospitality—an offering that brings river travel and gastronomy into harmonious alignment.
