MSC Seascape set to debut in Galveston TX with enhanced family offerings

The MSC Seascape is scheduled to arrive in Galveston, Texas, in November 2025, introducing an array of new family entertainment options and advanced onboard activities. Recognized as "Best Cruise Ship by Families" by Forbes Vetted and "Best Family Ship" in the 2024 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards, the vessel features over 7,500 square feet of dedicated children’s space alongside innovative amusements.

Matteo Mancini, Family Entertainment Development Director at MSC Cruises, noted that Galveston has long been a favored departure point for families seeking memorable cruise experiences. He emphasized that the arrival of MSC Seascape would provide exceptional entertainment for passengers of all ages.

Mancini further explained that the ship would cater to Gen Z and Gen Alpha travelers through immersive digital entertainment and interactive game shows designed to foster excitement and create lasting family memories.

New Onboard Offerings

Among the new attractions is the LEGO Parade, featuring LEGO characters for children of varying ages. The LEGO Game Show encourages family teamwork, with parents and children competing as Master Builders. The Boxes Family Game Show presents a series of blind challenges concealed within mystery boxes, while the Doremix Family Disco pits parents and children against one another in a dance competition.

For trivia enthusiasts, the Guinness World Record Family Quiz allows families to wager on extraordinary global records. Aspiring young chefs can participate in MasterChef At Sea Juniors, a culinary competition tailored for children. Racing fans may enjoy the Formula 1 Tournament on PS5, and trivia lovers can test their knowledge with Quiz O’Clock, available in three distinct formats.

Additional Family Experiences

The Break The Wall game incorporates a high-tech digital wall with surprise challenges judged by the audience. Vikings blends education and entertainment, teaching participants about Viking history through interactive challenges.

Based on MSC’s original web series, Cabin 12006—The Experience includes seven activities, a family game show, and a casting session. Its counterpart, Cabin 12006 - The Secret Game, offers an immersive mystery-solving experience with multimedia elements.

Beat The Music is an interactive digital game show where parents and children test their knowledge of each other’s musical preferences. Meanwhile, Doremiland, The Documentary provides a behind-the-scenes look at the development of MSC Cruises’ family programs.

Teenagers can showcase their talents in MSC Dance Crew, a competition developed in collaboration with Fremantle, the production company behind Idols, The X Factor, and Got Talent. The TLS Teens Late Show immerses teens in a live broadcast featuring trends, music, and prizes.

Lastly, the MSC Foundation Junior Ambassadors program educates young guests on marine conservation and related initiatives through engaging activities.
