RCI-Royal Caribbean International has confirmed that Ovation of the Seas will undergo a substantial enhancement under its Royal Amplified refurbishment programme ahead of the 2026 Alaska season, with the addition of 40 new staterooms and comprehensive reconfiguration of public spaces.

Most of the new guest accommodations will occupy former public-use areas on Decks 12, 13, and 16, including space currently used by a conference centre, suite lounge, and part of the fitness centre. An additional 19 cabins will replace technical areas and the Photo Gallery on Decks 5 and 9.

Public areas are set for major redesign. Casino Royale will be expanded into the lower level of the Music Hall on Deck 3, while the upper level will house a new nightclub, Sound Cellar. A full-service Starbucks will replace Le Patisserie. The Pesky Parrot Bar—a tiki-style venue originally introduced on Utopia of the Seas—will succeed the existing Bionic Bar. In the dining venues, Wonderland will be replaced by Izumi Teppanyaki, and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen will take over the space previously occupied by Jamie’s Italian.

The relocation of the Suite Lounge from Deck 12, now occupied by new cabins, has been addressed by moving it to the former teen lounge on Deck 14.

These upgrades form part of a broader Royal Amplified initiative, announced earlier this year, that also includes refurbishments to Harmony of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. The programme is intended to “amplify the vacation offerings” aboard the fleet, with enhancements in accommodation capacity, entertainment, dining, and guest amenities.
