Windstar Cruises has announced the launch of its Themed Voyages Collection, a series of sailings designed to integrate specialized interests with the seagoing experience. The program is intended to extend activities seamlessly from ship to shore, with opportunities that range from art instruction and wellness practices to traditional seamanship exercises, including supervised time at the helm.

Company representatives explained that the aim of these itineraries is to transform the vessel itself into part of the experience, with activities incorporated into public spaces and voyages structured around defined themes. The program is scheduled to commence in late 2025 and extend through 2026, responding to the rising demand for travel focused on enrichment and engagement.

The Masterpieces at Sea voyages will combine onboard instruction with art-focused shore excursions. Selected sailings will feature Fountainhead artists creating large-scale works during the voyage, while a second artist will serve as instructor for workshops and classes. The program will be supplemented by lectures from an art historian, linking the creative activity onboard with the artistic heritage of the ports of call. Destinations include Barcelona and Málaga, where guests will visit sites associated with Gaudí and Picasso. Scheduled departures include Brushes & Tapas on November 14th, 2025, Europe Winter Riviera on February 20th, 2026, Mediterranean Island Mosaic on August 13th, 2026, and Gems of the Leeward Islands on October 28th, 2026.

The Knot Your Average Crossing itineraries will focus on seamanship and maritime history. Beginning in November 2025, these ocean crossings will allow passengers to participate in activities such as knot tying, chart reading, and celestial navigation, guided by the ship’s officers. Guest lecturers will complement the practical instruction with talks on maritime subjects. The Lisbon to St. Maarten sailing will include a series on piracy, naval order, and early American naval history presented by historian and journalist Joseph Novitski. Additional crossings in 2026 will continue the format with other invited speakers.

The Mind, Body, Spirit Collection will place emphasis on wellness practices conducted in an open-deck environment. Daily sessions of yoga, meditation, and breathwork will be led by yoga instructor and life coach Debbie Dixon. Supplementary elements will include a temporary juice bar serving health-focused refreshments and the presence of a wellness coach offering individualized guidance. The design of these voyages emphasizes small-yacht scale combined with destination immersion, with the intent of fostering both relaxation and personal renewal.
