RCI-Royal Caribbean has confirmed that its newest vessel, Legend of the Seas, will enter service in July 2026, introducing an enhanced onboard experience designed to redefine family cruising.

The ship will operate in Europe and the Southern Caribbean, combining advanced design, diverse entertainment, and a wide-ranging culinary offering.

The vessel will feature 8 distinct neighborhoods, each functioning as a destination within itself. Among the highlights are two new themed dining concepts: Royal Railway – Legend Station, an immersive restaurant inspired by the ancient Silk Routes, and the Hollywoodland Supper Club, recalling the elegance of early 20th-century cinema.

The 28 dining venues include RCI's favorites Chops Grille, Izumi, and Hooked Seafood, alongside family-friendly spaces like Surfside Eatery and Basecamp.

Entertainment will take center stage, with a production of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory debuting at sea in the Royal Theater. Large-scale aquatic and ice performances will also feature prominently, with shows presented at the AquaTheater in the AquaDome and at Absolute Zero, RCI’s largest ice arena. Over 20 bars and lounges, including Dueling Pianos and 1400 Lobby Bar, will offer live music and curated drinks in varied atmospheres.

For those seeking recreation, Legend of the Seas will introduce Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, along with Crown’s Edge, a skywalk and zipline experience 154 feet above the ocean. Additional top-deck attractions include mini golf, rock climbing, and seven pools designed to suit different moods, from the adults-only infinity pool at The Hideaway to family areas such as Splashaway Bay.

The ship will operate 7-night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Civitavecchia-Rome during summer 2026, visiting ports including Marseille, Naples, and Palma de Mallorca.

In November 2026, Legend OTS will reposition to Fort Lauderdale (FL USA) for Caribbean sailings, featuring 6-night Western and 8-night Southern Caribbean routes that include calls at Aruba, Curacao, and Royal Caribbean’s private Bahamian island resort CocoCay.

Powered by liquefied natural gas, Legend of the Seas will be the company’s fourth LNG-fueled ship and will incorporate environmental technologies such as waste heat recovery and shore power connection, aligning with Royal Caribbean Group’s long-term sustainability objectives, including its goal of achieving a net-zero cruise ship by 2035.
