P&O Cruises has announced that several departures previously designated as adults-only will now be open to families, marking a shift in programming for the line’s smaller vessels, Aurora and Arcadia.
The updated policy will apply during key holiday periods and over Christmas.
The decision has received a mixed response from passengers. Some travelers have welcomed the opportunity to sail with multiple generations on ships traditionally reserved for adults, while others expressed disappointment, having selected those itineraries specifically for their adult-only atmosphere.
P&O has confirmed that guests affected by the change will have the option to either cancel their booking or transfer their deposit to another sailing. Those choosing to cancel will receive a full refund within ten working days. Customers must notify the line by December 1st, 2025 if they wish to make alterations.
The new multi-generational voyages will take place between December 2026 and September 2027, while itineraries for the winter 2027–2028 season are scheduled to go on sale from October 14th.
