APT Travel Group’s Travelmarvel announced the forthcoming debut of Travelmarvel Sirius, a newbuild ship for Nile River cruises. The modern boat is scheduled to start revenue operations in September 2026.
The launch marks the company’s return to Egypt’s historic waterway, introducing a riverboat designed for an intimate cruising experience that emphasizes comfort, culture, and connection to the region’s heritage.
With only 62 cabins, Travelmarvel Sirius has been conceived to deliver a more personal onboard atmosphere. Its design incorporates spacious social areas, a pool deck/sundeck, and interiors inspired by the art and history of ancient Egypt.
The ship’s name draws from Sirius—the brightest star in the night sky—which the ancient Egyptians associated with the Nile’s annual flooding, a symbol of renewal and prosperity.
Operating roundtrips from homeport Luxor, Travelmarvel Sirius will follow a 7-day itinerary visiting Dendera, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan. The voyage will culminate in a private charter flight to the temples of Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most celebrated archaeological sites.
Accommodation options include Deluxe Cabins and the Pharaoh Suite, all of which are outside, providing unobstructed views.
Guests will have access to the Sun Deck, complete with pool and bar, as well as the Ramses Lounge for evening entertainment influenced by local culture. Dining choices feature the Nefertari Restaurant and Tutankhamun Terrace Café, both serving regional and international cuisine.
Travelmarvel's Nile cruise packages, beginning at approximately US$4,500 per person, include 25 meals, select beverages, return flights from Ireland, guided tours in Cairo, and visits to major sites such as Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings and Queens, visited from Luxor
APT Travel Group has stated that the introduction of Travelmarvel Sirius continues its strategy to expand river cruise operations across key global regions.
The vessel will extend the Travelmarvel brand’s reach into Egypt, reaffirming its commitment to offering culturally rich and thoughtfully designed journeys along the world’s most significant rivers.
