Global Ports Holding (GPH) has signed a 15-year concession agreement with Agence Nationale des Ports (ANP) of Morocco to operate the newly constructed cruise terminal at Casablanca Cruise Port.
The concession was awarded to a consortium in which GPH holds 51 % alongside local shareholders Steya and Ocean Infrastructures Management, following a public tender process.
Operations are scheduled to begin in January 2026.
The terminal, inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on September 18th, 2025, features a 650-metre quay, three boarding bridges, coach parking for 44 vehicles and a maritime station built to international specifications. The facility is capable of handling vessels up to 350 metres in length and more than 450,000 passengers annually.
GPH sees the concession as reinforcing its network across the Atlantic and western Mediterranean region, linking ports such as La Goulette, Las Palmas and Mindelo, and positioning Casablanca as a strategic gateway for Europe-Caribbean cruise itineraries.
ANP invested approximately EUR 72 million in the development of the terminal infrastructure. In 2024 the port reported around 150,000 transit passengers, with expectations of reaching 180,000 in 2025.
The agreement marks a significant step in GPH’s expansion and Morocco’s efforts to enhance its cruise tourism infrastructure, offering improved access for large vessels and strengthening the country’s maritime tourism profile.
