Sailing cruise ship Royal Clipper deployed in Adriatic Sea in 2026

The 5-masted full-rigged sailing ship Royal Clipper, flagship of Star Clippers, will undertake in-depth cruises of the Adriatic Sea, calling at less-frequented ports and historic centres across Croatia, Montenegro and Italy.

The 7-night “Croatia & Montenegro” itinerary departs from Venice every Saturday from June through August 2026. Ports of call include Sibenik and Vis in Croatia—towns noted for their history and relative lack of mass tourism—as well as Rovinj and Dubrovnik. In Montenegro, the ship visits Kotor, a medieval town framed by dramatic coastal geography.

With 42 sails and 56,000 ft2 of sail area, the 227-passenger Royal Clipper combines tall-ship aesthetics with contemporary amenities including open-deck space, swimming pools, a marina platform for watersports and elevated dining and spa facilities.

These sailings represent Star Clippers’ commitment to immersive exploration of Europe’s coastal regions, offering travellers access to both iconic and off-the-path destinations via a vessel designed to evoke the spirit of classic maritime travel.
