Celebrity Cruises has announced its entry into the river cruise sector with the launch of two new vessels, the Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker. Designed for the Rhine and Danube rivers, these ships will feature hybrid propulsion systems intended to reduce noise and vibration for a more serene onboard environment.
The 172-guest vessels incorporate several sustainable technologies, including advanced waste management and energy-efficient systems. The onboard amenities are designed to emphasize spaciousness and panoramic views, featuring multiple dining venues, open decks, and suites equipped with a "Skylight Infinite Balcony" design. Top-deck facilities will include cantilevered dining pods, infinity-edge plunge pools, and observation lounges.
The product is structured as an all-inclusive experience, with fares covering shore excursions, Wi-Fi, dining, and beverages. While the brand welcomes children aged four and above, the absence of dedicated children’s programming is intended to maintain a tranquil atmosphere.
The inaugural season will consist of 33 seven-night sailings, utilizing the vessels’ design to access central docking locations in European city centers.
