Moby Zazà ferry sold and relaunched as WORLD LEGACY

The 1982-built RoPax ship/ferry originally known as MOBY ZAZA was sold in March to a Marshall Islands-based company, and shortly thereafter acquired by a Singapore firm.

The vessel departed via the Suez Canal in mid-May under the name ZAZA, and has since been reflagged to Liberia and renamed WORLD LEGACY.

This ship’s lineage reaches back to its launch as the ferry Olau Britannia, constructed by AG Weser Seebeckswerft for the Olau Line and employed on routes between Sheerness and Vlissingen.

Over its life, the vessel carried several names—among them Bayard, Christian IV, Julia, and Wind Perfection—before entering the Moby Lines fleet as Moby Zaza.

Now repurposed, WORLD LEGACY is presented as a floating lifestyle destination rather than a simple ferry. It has been refitted to host stays both brief and extended, with guests able to board from Singapore or Malaysia. The ship’s daily rhythm is designed to shift: by day, she functions as a space for relaxation and wellness, while by night she transforms into a social venue complete with dining, cocktails, live music, and immersive entertainment.

Accommodations include roughly 300 staterooms, ranging from compact two-person cabins to family rooms and VIP suites.

Dining options are varied: there is an around-the-clock café offering Asian-inspired fare, a traditional Chinese restaurant, and a buffet. As night falls, guests may gather in the sports bar, attend performances in the theatre, or enjoy themed cocktails in a speakeasy-style lounge.

A special deck for panoramic sea views, the Sunset Deck, is scheduled to open in 2026, allowing the ship to fully embody its day-to-night concept.
