Oceania Cruises has announced the introduction of its next vessel, Oceania Sonata, scheduled to enter service in August 2027. The ship will be the first of four in the new Sonata Class and the ninth in the line’s fleet, offering accommodations for 1,390 passengers and representing the most spacious and amenity-rich ship in the company’s history.
The Sonata Class is designed to combine open, light-filled public areas with quieter spaces intended for relaxation, reflecting a balance between celebration and intimacy in luxury cruising. Approximately 30% of the ship’s accommodations will be suites, including two new suite categories and redesigned Owner’s Suites, all featuring expansive private verandas with panoramic sea views.
Oceania Sonata will continue the line’s focus on high-quality cuisine, providing ten dining experiences. Established venues such as the Grand Dining Room, Jacques, Red Ginger, Polo Grill, and Toscana will be complemented by new culinary offerings to be disclosed closer to the ship’s debut.
Construction is underway at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Italy, with a crew of 855 officers and staff assigned to deliver service consistent with Oceania Cruises’ reputation for luxury, attentive hospitality, and destination-focused itineraries.
