Adora Cruises, in partnership with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company Limited, announced on April 16th that the vessel Adora Flora City, China’s second domestically built large cruise ship, would be delivered on November 6th, 2026, nearly two months earlier than originally planned. Following delivery, the ship is to commence its maiden voyage season from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port, operating primarily on international routes.
All key construction milestones have been achieved ahead of schedule. On March 20th, Adora Flora City successfully floated out of dry dock at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard and has since entered the quay commissioning phase. As of the announcement, the project was reported to be 96% complete, with interior works at 87% and commissioning at 76%. Several critical milestones have been reached ahead of time, and sea trials are planned for mid‑May.
The vessel measures 341 meters in length, with a gross tonnage of 141900. Adora Flora City features 2130 cabins and luxury suites, accommodating up to 5232 guests. The ship offers a full range of facilities, including 28 distinctive restaurants and bars, a one‑thousand‑seat grand theater, a shopping mall, art gallery, fitness center, spa, and children’s club, catering to the needs of guests of all ages.
