Australasia’s family-owned expedition cruise operator Heritage Expeditions has presented its new 130-passenger ship, Heritage Discoverer (fka Silver Explorer), during a sold-out roadshow across Australia ahead of the ship’s 2027-2028 programme.
The roadshow visited Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, bringing together travel agents, media representatives and guests for a series of industry events focused on the company’s forthcoming itineraries and the introduction of Heritage Discoverer. The programme was led by Commercial Director and Expedition Leader Aaron Russ, accompanied by members of the company’s global sales, marketing and expedition teams.
The events provided an introduction to 7 new itineraries covering Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland, alongside voyages exploring the Atlantic coast, British Isles, Faroe Islands, Scotland and Ireland. The programme also marks Heritage Expeditions’ return to the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falklands and the South Shetlands.
Russ said the roadshow had provided an opportunity to present Heritage Expeditions’ expedition model and the new ship’s programme to Australian travel professionals and customers ahead of Heritage Discoverer’s preview voyage scheduled for November. He also highlighted the combination of Arctic and European itineraries with the company’s renewed Antarctic operations as a significant element of the vessel’s initial programme.
Heritage Discoverer is scheduled to operate its inaugural voyage in May 2027, joining the fleetmates Heritage Adventurer and Heritage Explorer.
