StarCruises is expanding its Southeast Asian cruise program aboard Star Voyager with a series of 2-, 3- and 4-night itineraries operating between September 25th, 2026, and January 1st, 2027. The voyages will depart from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, with selected sailings also calling at Penang, Langkawi, Pangkor, Phuket and Krabi.
The program is structured around short regional voyages, allowing passengers to combine several destinations within Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand while maintaining a relatively compact cruise duration. StarDream Cruises President Michael Goh said the range of itineraries was intended to provide travellers with different ways to explore Southeast Asia while using the ship as both accommodation and transportation between destinations.
Singapore serves as one of the principal embarkation points, supported by its extensive international air connections and suitability for fly-cruise passengers. From September 25th, 2026, through January 1st, 2027, Star Voyager will offer 2-, 3- and 4-night departures from the city-state.
2-night itineraries include cruises to Kuala Lumpur, via Port Klang or Melaka, as well as voyages to Pangkor. Three-night routes include combinations featuring Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Pangkor, while a four-night itinerary departing December 26th will visit Langkawi, Pangkor and Kuala Lumpur via Port Klang.
The Singapore departures provide access to several different aspects of Malaysia. Melaka offers its historic urban centre and heritage architecture, while Penang provides access to its UNESCO-listed heritage areas and established food culture. Kuala Lumpur combines shopping, dining and urban attractions, while Pangkor and Langkawi offer a more island-oriented experience. Passengers arriving in Melaka can also take shore excursions to Kuala Lumpur, extending the range of destinations accessible during the cruise.
Star Voyager will also operate departures directly from Malaysia between September 28th and December 29th, 2026. Cruises from Kuala Lumpur, using the Port Klang Cruise Terminal, include 2- and 3-night itineraries to Penang, Singapore, Phuket, Krabi and combinations of these destinations.
A 2-night voyage from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi is scheduled for December 18th, while another 2-night itinerary to Phuket departs December 20th. 3-night departures include voyages to Penang and Singapore between September 28th and November 9th, as well as selected December sailings combining Phuket and Krabi.
Melaka will provide an additional embarkation point through its Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security terminal. A 3-night itinerary departing October 19th and another on November 16th will sail from Melaka to Penang and Singapore.
The expanded program gives Star Voyager a broad selection of short-distance routes across the waters of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with itineraries ranging from short 2-night escapes to 4-night regional cruises. The deployment is designed primarily around established Southeast Asian ports, combining urban destinations, heritage centres and island resorts within a single cruise program.
