Azamara Cruises has opened bookings for its 2029 World Cruise, a 195-night itinerary aboard Azamara Quest that will sail from San Diego to Copenhagen from January 3rd to July 17th, 2029. The voyage will span 5 continents and 40 countries and territories, making it the longest World Cruise currently available for 2029.
For the first time, Azamara is offering three versions of its World Cruise programme. The full 195-night voyage is available for booking now, while two shorter options of 179 and 139 nights will open for reservations on October 14th, 2026.
The full itinerary is designed as a global circumnavigation without repeating ports and will include 126 ports, among them 12 maiden calls. Approximately 65% of the voyage will be spent in port, with 16 overnight stays and 60 late-night calls, providing additional time for shore visits compared with conventional World Cruise itineraries.
The voyage will begin in San Diego and head west across the Pacific, calling at Hawaii before continuing to French Polynesia, Samoa and Fiji. The itinerary will then proceed through Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Norfolk Island. Multiple overnight stays in Mo’orea, Papeete and Bora Bora will provide extended opportunities to explore French Polynesia. The ship will cross the International Date Line westbound on January 30th.
The Oceania section will include 11 ports in New Zealand, including Milford Sound, followed by 12 Australian ports ranging from Hobart to Darwin. The itinerary will also include Exmouth, providing access to the Ningaloo Reef region.
From Australia, Azamara Quest will continue through Indonesia and Singapore before sailing through Southeast Asia and onward to Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Overnight and late-night calls will provide additional time in destinations that are traditionally visited during daytime port calls.
Japan will account for nine ports on the itinerary, including Hiroshima. The voyage will subsequently head north to Alaska, with a visit to Hubbard Glacier, before continuing through British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.
The itinerary will then turn south through Central America and transit the Panama Canal before continuing to Colombia and Florida. From there, the ship will sail north to New York and cross the Atlantic to Ireland, the United Kingdom and France.
The final phase will take the ship through Northern Europe, visiting 12 countries during the last 16 nights of the voyage. The itinerary will include destinations in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Finland, Latvia and Sweden before concluding in Copenhagen. The ship will cross the International Date Line eastbound on May 7th, creating the unusual experience of repeating one calendar day while effectively losing another during the crossing.
The extensive time spent in port is a central feature of the itinerary. Among the destinations scheduled for overnight or late-night calls are Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Beijing and Cork.
The World Cruise will also include 15 complimentary AzAmazing Evenings, offering guests destination-based events and cultural programmes. Additional events exclusive to World Cruise passengers and selected Overland Experiences will provide further opportunities for extended exploration.
Azamara's standard onboard inclusions will also apply throughout the voyage, covering dining and room service, selected house wines and beers, gratuities and complimentary self-service laundry. The World Cruise package will additionally include benefits valued by the company at up to US$44,000, including onboard credit, a premium beverage package and unlimited wash-and-fold laundry.
The first alternative to the full World Cruise will be a 179-night voyage from San Diego to London, operating from January 3rd to July 1st, 2029. It will cover 5 continents and include 52 late-night calls, 16 overnight stays and 12 maiden ports.
The second option will be a 139-night voyage from Sydney to Copenhagen, operating from March 1st to July 17th, 2029. It will also cover five continents and include 43 late-night calls, 11 overnight stays and four maiden ports. Both shorter World Cruise options will open for booking on October 14, 2026.
Passengers wishing to undertake only part of the global itinerary will also be able to book 16 individual segments ranging from 7 to 20 nights. These segments are scheduled to open for booking in 2027.
All three World Cruise options will operate aboard Azamara Quest, which is also scheduled to host Azamara's 2027 World Cruise.
Azamara is offering limited-time loyalty discounts of between 6% and 12% across the three World Cruise options. The 195-night voyage will qualify for the promotion during its first 80 days of booking, while the two shorter itineraries will be eligible during their first 60 days.
