   April 15, 2017 ,   Accidents

Carnival Fantasy guests were docked for hours at Port Mobile on Thursday due to propulsion issues.

Hundreds of passengers decided to get off.

What was supposed to be a spring break cruise to Cozumel for the McHenry's turned into a big disappointment.

Carnival Cruise Line says it's Carnival Fantasy cruise ship was experiencing issues with it's propulsion system which affects the ship's maximum cruising speed. It says it wouldn't be able to maintain it's scheduled iternary.

Many who decided to get off say they're still making a trip out of it. Carnival offered passengers a 100% refund if they decided to get off and not take the cruise to nowhere.

Passengers who stay on will get a 50% refund and 50% off a future cruise plus a $50 onboard credit.

The ship set sail around 9:30 p.m.
