Ponant Introduces New Cruises in Asia Aboard Le Laperouse

Ponant unveiled 5 new cruises dedicated to discovering Asia aboard the first ship in Ponant Explorers series, Le Laperouse.

The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, China, Vietnam, Japan: through 8 Asian countries with rich ancestral traditions and unique cultural heritage, passengers can explore some of the most emblematic Asian sites.

Asia, a blend of tradition and modernity (from Kobe-Osaka to Haiphong, October 26 - November 9, 2019): a new voyage to encounter millennial civilisations. The cruise ship charts a course for Shanghai, before setting out to discover the city of lights, Hong Kong, and then sailing on to Ha Long Bay.

Gems of South-East Asia (from Bali to Hong Kong, September 11-27, 2019): A cruise taking in 6 countries of Southeast Asia: Brunei, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. The itinerary enables the discovery of the UNESCO World Heritage site Borobudur, with around 240 temples. Other highlights include the city of Hong Kong, discovery of subterranean river at Puerto Princesa and encounter with orangutans from Kota Kinabalu.

The best of Japan (from Osaka to Maizuru, October 10-18, 2019; from Maizuru to Kobe-Osaka, October 18-26, 2019). An itinerary to discover Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun, including a visit to Sakaiminato with ancient Samurai dwellings, a visit to Osaka, the most Japanese of metropolises, and a discovery of the small city of Tamano, former feudal city with great cultural heritage.

From Australia to Indonesia (from Darwin to Bali, August 31 - September 11, 2019): Highlights include Coral Triangle, temple of marine biodiversity, Kalabahi in Alor Archipelago, sub-ethnic groups from Flores and Molucca Islands along the Spice Route.
