Crew Member Goes Overboard from NCL Ship

The U.S. Coast Guard is still searching for an NCL Norwegian crew member who fell overboard on Saturday, June 30, off the coast of Cuba.

The 33-year-old Filipino ship worker fell overboard from Norwegian Getaway around 3:30 pm around 28 miles northwest of Cuba (Pinar del Rio).

Coast Guard Air Station Miami sent an HC-144 airplane to help the sea search.

Norwegian Getaway is based out of Port Miami. The cruise ship operates 7-day cruises to western Caribbean. It is staffed with over 1,500 crew members and accommodates nearly 4,000 passengers.
