AmaWaterways announced that travel expert and TV host Samantha Brown will serve as the Godmother of line's newest ship, AmaMagna. Brown will “bless” the newbuild alongside the executive team of AmaWaterways and special guests during an official christening ceremony in Vilshofen, in July 2019.
Brown boasts with a 17-year career, throughout which she has hosted various travel TV series for The Travel Channel, such as “Great Hotels,” “Great Weekends,” “Samantha Brown’s Asia,” “Passport to Europe”. Last year, Brown launched the PBS series, “Samantha Brown’s Places to Love,” sponsored by AmaWaterways.
AmaMagna will begin her inaugural season on May 5, 2019 sailing the Romantic Danube itinerary between Vilshofen and Budapest. In addition to the Romantic Danube, her itineraries include Melodies of the Danube and festive Christmas Markets on the Danube.
