Today, November 28, at Meyer Werft shipyard, Norwegian Cruise Line held a keel laying ceremony for its Norwegian Encore, unveiling award-winning entertainment line-up and recreational amenities scheduled for the ship’s debut in fall 2019.
Following the construction milestone and embedding a “commemorative coin” within the vessel's keel blocks, attendees were treated to unique presentation: a surprise performance from “Kinky Boots,” which confirmed the Tony Award-winning musical as headlining act onboard Norwegian Encore. The Broadway hit features original songs by Cyndi Lauper.
“The Choir of Man,” that recently debuted onnoard Norwegian Escape, combines live percussion, high energy music, dance, and foot stomping choreography by 9 ordinary guys who perform from classic rock to sing-along anthems.
Additional entertainment that debuted on Norwegian Bliss and will be offered on Encore include “Happy Hour Prohibition: The Musical,” interactive cocktails and theater show, as well as guest favorite, The Cavern Club.
