Princess Cruises announced its plans to expand line's presence in Port Sydney, with the 3,560-passenger Regal Princess set to sail along with sister ship, Majestic Princess.

Regal Princess will be homeported in Sydney NSW for her maiden Australian season between December 2020-April 2021. The move follows the increasing demand for cruise vacations, and represents a 40% increase in line's capacity from Sydney in comparison to the current 2018-2019 summer season.

Regal Princess is due to sail from Civitavecchia-Rome to Sydney on a cruise crossing 4 continents, with her itinerary already on sale. A more detailed deployment for the ship from Sydney will be announced late March 2019.

With 5 of its 18-strong fleet sailing down under next year, Princess Cruises ranks Australia as its largest market outside the United States.
