Silversea introduced accessibility-enhanced shore trips via its partnership with Accessible Travel Solutions, devoted to expanding opportunities for senior and disabled travelers.
The new accessible excursions are offered in 9 destinations in the Caribbean and Central America. Additional shore trips will be developed in 2019 for the Mediterranean.
The new partnership enables the senior and disabled guests of Silversea to travel deeper in destinations through immersive shore excursions which showcase the history, culture and beauty of each site. The collection of shore excursions features enhancements like guides experienced with accessibility issues, vehicles with wheelchair lifts or ramps, excursions to attractions that offer step-free access, routes that avoid steps and accessible restrooms.
Following is a sample of the tours currently available in Central America and the Caribbean as part of the new partnership:
- Accessible Pitons and Waterfalls (Castries, St Lucia)
- Monkey Sanctuary and Iguana Hideout for Limited Mobility (Roatan Island, Honduras)
- Accessible St.Kitts (Basseterre)
- Accessible Mayan Experience and Scenic Drive (Cozumel)
- Accessible Grenada (St.George's).
