Royal Caribbean’s liner Vision of the Seas once again started its homeport seasonal itinerary program from Galveston Texas with a 5-day Western Caribbean voyage on Monday, March 11. The cruise port is also due to welcome sistership Enchantment of the Seas in May 2019.

Vision OTS first joined the biggest cruise ship in Texas, Royal Caribbean’s 1,112-feet Liberty of the Seas back in November 2017. She sailed on 35 four- and five-day Western Caribbean voyages during the 2017-2018 winter cruise season.

Port Galveston anticipates an average of 2150 cruise passengers per cruise. RCI has scheduled 8 four- and five-night itineraries and 1 seven-night roundtrip during spring 2019.

On May 6, sistership Enchantment OTS is due to be repositioned from Port Canaveral to join Liberty, offering 4- and 5-night sailings that will complement Liberty of the Seas 7-night Caribbean voyages. These will include ports of call in Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Yucatan. The 51 journeys will result in 120,000 additional cruise passengers leaving on voyages from Galveston during 2019 cruise season.
