Royal Caribbean took delivery of its 26th ship, Spectrum of the Seas, in an official ceremony held at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven on Thursday, April 11.
Chairman & CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Richard D. Fain, and president & CEO of Royal Caribbean International, Michael Bayley, received the vessel from Meyer Werft Managing Partner Bernard Meyer.
The Spectrum of the Seas cruise ship is Royal Caribbean’s first Quantum-Ultra class vessel designed and built specifically for the Chinese market. Quantum-Ultra is an upgraded (enlarged and enhanced) version of the Quantum-class ships Anthem, Quantum and Ovation.
Spectrum OTS will be homeported in Shanghai starting turnaround operations in June 2019.
