Norwegian Joy Sets Sail on Inaugural Preview Cruises

After a more than US$50 million renovation to make her nearly identical to Norwegian Bliss, the successful sistership, Norwegian Joy on Thursday, April 25, set sail on the first of a pair of exclusive inaugural preview cruises prior to her first official sailing from Seattle to Alaska on May 4.

The 15th ship in the NCL modern fleet of 16 vessels, and the 2nd in the Breakaway-Plus Class, Norwegian Joy is one of the most innovative, featuring industry firsts like an onboard go-kart track, open-air laser tag arena and Galaxy Pavilion, virtual reality and gaming venue.

Norwegian Joy will offer 7-day Alaska cruises from Seattle with visits to Ketchikan, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Skagway, and Victoria, B.C. Beginning in the fall of 2019, she will offer Mexican Riviera cruises from Los Angeles CA as well as Panama Canal itineraries from LA and Miami FL. Beginning in 2020, she will sail to the Caribbean from Miami FL.
