The Premier affirmed that having 4 cruise shipping companies signed on to the berthing project provided "tremendous benefit to the Cayman Islands."

Cayman Islands' Cruise Berthing Facility Project is already in its 6th year and underwent a rigorous procurement process in order to identify a preferred bidder to build the berthing facility within a design, finance, maintain, and build framework. The Cayman Islands' Port Authority will continue to own, manage, and operate the facility.
