American Queen Steamboat Company Introduces “Racing on the River”

AQSC-American Queen Steamboat Company announced its newest themed cruise onboard American Duchess, “Racing on the River”, cruising from Memphis to Pittsburgh in July 8-22, 2019.

Passengers will discover the attractions of quaint riverport towns with history-filled and racing-themed excursions all culminating with the major event that is a steamboat race between American Duchess and Belle of Cincinnati (flagship of BB Riverboats).

Racing on the River is due to take passengers on a special cruise along the lower Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Rivers, visiting 6 states and 12 ports of call over 16 days.

Travelers will have the chance to take part in racing-themed tours at each riverport, of which Louisville KY (July 13), Cincinnati OH (July 15), Maysville KY (July 17).

Fares begin at US$1,199 per person. All itineraries include a 1-night, pre-cruise hotel stay, hop-on hop-offshore trips in all ports, beer and wine with dinner as well as a host of other amenities.
