American Cruise Lines' American Harmony departed from New Orleans on Saturday, August 17, along her inaugural Mississippi River cruise.

The newest modern riverboat in the U.S. is currently underway at 100% passenger capacity and cruising along the American’s 8-day New Orleans round-trip itinerary.

Harmony is scheduled to sail back to New Orleans on August 24 when the first sailing concludes and the second one begins. American Harmony is the second newbuild in the line’s series of five modern riverboats, thus adding a new dimension to the expanding fleet of small coastal vessels and Victorian-style paddle-wheelers, as well as to the American river cruising industry.
