At a press conference aboard Carnival Fantasy, the City of Mobile and Carnival Cruise Line recently signed a 3-year extension that will keep the cruise ship sailing from Port Mobile through November 2022.
Via the agreement, Carnival Fantasy will be able to continue her popular 4- and 5-day voyages to Mexico from Alabama Cruise Terminal, bringing 170,000 passengers to Mobile per year. Many travellers extend their vacation through pre- or post-cruise stays in the Mobile area.
On the Mobile-based route, Carnival Fantasy is scheduled to depart Alabama Cruise Terminal Thursdays on 4-day “long weekend” sailings to Cozumel and on Mondays and Saturdays on 5-day cruises to Cozumel and Progreso or Costa Maya.
