Portland UK’s cruise season ended with the arrival of one of world's largest passenger liners - Norwegian Getaway (NCL) which docked on October 25. The port visit was NCL Getaway ship’s maiden port call to Isle of Portland and also 2019's largest vessel to dock here.

Norwegian Getaway was the longest and heaviest ship to dock at Portland Port during season 2019. The cruise liner has max passenger capacity 4819 (plus 1640 crew/staff) and brought the greatest number of tourists on one cruise ship that the seaport has handled so far. For the scheduled call, Portland Port provided 12 shuttle buses to transport all disembarking passengers to Dorset and the surrounding area.
