With travel restrictions for 31 EU-European countries due to be lifted mid-June, the premium German brand A-ROSA River Cruises ship Arosa Alva (deployed on Douro River in Portugal) starts voyages from Oporto on June 17.

Cruises on Rhine and Danube are scheduled to follow on June 19 and 20. AROSA resumes French operations (Rhone, Saone and Seine rivers) in early-July. Any possible adjustments to Arosa’s schedule would be promptly communicated.

A-ROSA developed a comprehensive health and hygiene concept to ensure that distancing and hygiene protocols will be suitably applied. Supported by medical doctor Jens Tulsner, he'll continue to lend his expertise as well as advise A-ROSA in the capacity of the inhouse medical practitioner.

A-ROSA customers can rest assured that the health and hygiene measures will be implemented in a fashion not to impact the relaxation and holiday experience. This is also reflected in the dining experience where local specialities are served in addition to all-time favourites.

Beginning with comprehensive breakfast options, passengers can look forward to 3-course lunches and 4-course dinners, served at the table, and inspired by the local regions. On the Danube river, for example, there is a scheduled Hungarian Night, on the Northern Rhine the menu is influenced by the Netherlands and Belgium, and on the Southern Rhine, the company offers culinary delights including the Swiss Cuisine and the Black Forest dinners.
