The American-owned and USA-flagged company UnCruise Adventures confirmed that its 2020 Alaskan program starts on August 1.

According to Dan Blanchard (company's Owner and CEO), the initial departures represented a re-framing of what adventure travelers were increasingly looking for, "small groups, inclusion, and human connection.”

The Alaskan cruises will take passengers roundtrip from homeport Juneau AK on a 7-night "Glacier Bay National Park Adventure" featuring an enhanced wilderness itinerary. Two days in Glacier Bay NP make this itinerary one of UnCruise's most popular and provides the unique experience of cruising Southeast Alaska. Eager tourists can experience active adventures with shoreline kayaks, remote wilderness hikes, and a choice of nature-based activities.

Setting sail prior to other operators shows the benefits of small, American-flagged vessels with a local presence and the actions taken by the company in collaboration to restart travel.

UnCruise Adventures took strong measures to implement health and safety standards with a COVID protocol plan that was recently released.

The restart of the summer sailings represents a dedication to supporting local partnerships and the long-standing work of UnCruise Adventures with Alaska state officials.
