Dream Cruises introduces new Flexi-Feast dining concept

Dream Cruises became the first international cruise company to resume sailings via the deployment of Explorer Dream in Taiwan, where the ship commenced island-hopping itineraries from Keelung (Taipei) to Penghu, Matsu, Kinmen, Hualien on July 26.

Passengers on the cruise saw the debut of the company’s new Flexi-Feast dining concept allowing flexibility for a customized dining experience by guests’ freedom to choose from a wider choice of venues as well as to dine at their leisure.

Flexi-Feast provides additional peace of mind for vacationers by helping to ease restrictions at certain venues for a more comfortable environment onboard.

Dream Cruises’ Flexi-Feast dining concept is applicable to all voyages of Explorer Dream’s island-hopping itinerary in Taiwan. Upon embarkation, passengers receive a set of complimentary dining vouchers which can be used to redeem set meals at designated venues. Alternatively, the vouchers are honored as onboard dining credits at specialty bars and restaurants, as well as for room service.

The innovative concept allows travelers the flexibility to mix and match various food and beverage options available onboard, based on their preferences, for a more personalized dining experience.

Instead of following the rigid schedule of 3 meals per day, guests have the option of enjoying brunch at the restaurant of their choice or skip dinner to catch the last stage performance, then have a meal by room service, due to the flexibility of Flexi Feast dining vouchers.

As part of the island-hopping itineraries, the cruise line is taking the opportunity to showcase the culinary diversity of Taiwan and giving passengers more variety to whet their appetite. Explorer Dream collaborates with Taiwanese food & beverage brands including Sharetea (bubble tea brand with 28+ years of history), Tien Hsia San Chueh Noodle Cuisine (honoree of Bib Gourmand designation in 2019 MICHELIN Guide Taipei), Taihu Brewing (acclaimed craft brewer, a veteran of international beer competitions), Formosa Cheng (Taiwan’s largest fast-food chain specialized in braised pork rice).

All restaurants onboard Explorer Dream serve specialty dishes created with seasonal produce locally sourced in Taiwan, offering travelers authentic Taiwan taste experiences.
