TUI's cruise lines are offering customers the option to amend their vacation for free due to the ongoing uncertainty during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Both Marella Cruises UK and TUI River Cruises are now extending their free amends policies. In case passengers book a cruise and no longer want to travel, they can have one free amend up to 21 days prior to departure.
The policy applies to new bookings made by December 31, 2020, but will be valid on any sailing before October 31, 2021.
According to Chris Hackney (Managing Director of Marella and TUI River), they understood some clients might feel a little uncertain about booking a cruise whilst travel advice hadn’t changed and so they wanted to offer flexibility for those wanting to secure their summer 2021 cruise with them with the added reassurance that if they no longer wish to travel they could amend for free.
TUI has cancelled all Marella Cruises sailings until November 15.
Those who already have a cruise booked with the company that is due to depart between November 16, 2020, and March 31, 2021, the cruise companies are offering the option to amend the booking for free to any TUI trip on sale.
However, guests need to claim the free amend by October 31, 2020.
As for TUI River Cruises, these are cancelled until November 25, 2020.
