At 6 pm, Sunday night, Saga Cruises’ ship Spirit of Discovery, which was launched in July 2019, returned to the ocean from Tilbury Docks (London, England) on her first round-Britain tour since the United Kingdom was locked down in March 2020.

The vessel is first calling at Portsmouth UK (June 28), and then visiting Portland UK (June 29), the Isles of Scilly (June 30), and Falmouth UK (July 1).

Spirit of Discovery and her brand-new sistership, Spirit of Adventure, which is due to leave on her inaugural voyage on July 26, are both small by current ship standards but the limited number of passengers and clever design combine to give a feeling of comfort and space.
