The homeport Quepos (Costa Rica), situated close to the Manuel Antonio National Park, allows passengers the chance to encounter sloths, monkeys, and ~450 species of birds. The beaches on Isla Tortuga are the best spot for snorkeling or taking a dip. In San Juan del Sur (Nicaragua) the beaches provide incredible surfing opportunities, and guests can see the Mirador del Cristo de la Misericordia statue at the bay's northern end - it is one of the world's largest statues of Jesus.

With 800+ miles of coastline and unique coral reefs, Costa Rica offers great opportunities for snorkeling. The water sports program of Star Clippers allows passengers to borrow snorkeling equipment for the duration of the cruise.
