Kota Kinabalu (aka KK, fka Jesselton) Malaysia is the Sabah state's capital and port city located on the northwestern coast of Borneo Island. Mount Kinabalu is to the east of the city, and the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park is to the west. The city's population is around 452,000 (including the adjacent districts Penampang and Putatan). The metropolitan area has population of around 630,000.
