On November 25, 2023, while maneuvering at Port Patras (Peloponnese Greece), the ship collided with two vessels - Superfast 2 ferry and Aegean Tiffany (2004-built oil tanker/IMO 9314478).

The accident was attributed to severe weather conditions/heavy storms in the Aegean Sea over the weekend.

Hellenic Spirit, carrying a total of 128 passengers and 116 vehicles, suffered minor damage and no injuries.
