15 September 2023Fire Accident

On September 15, 2023, a vehicle in the Northern Adventure's storage deck area caught fire.

The accident occurred while the ferry was navigating in Hecate Strait (between Haida Gwaii Queen Charlotte and mainland British Columbia Canada), approx 22 NM (25 mi/40 km) east of Cape Ball (Graham Island).

Reportedly, the onboard fire was quickly extinguished by the crew, without injuries, and the voyage resumed as scheduled.

01 July 2018Structural and Technical Issues

On July 1, 2018, due to mechanical problems, the ship remained docked at Prince Rupert terminal, canceling the scheduled departure to Skidegate (Haida Gwaii) at 10 am. The reported issue was with the onboard fire detection system. A specialist from Miami was flown to attend the needed repairs. All affected passengers were rebooked on future crossings.
