On October 20, 2010, while moored in port Genoa and waiting to depart for Palermo (Sicily), the ship (chartered to GNV / Grandi Navi Veloci) experienced an engine room fire accident. As a result, a male crew was seriously injured. In December, the vessel was towed to Naples for repairs and re-entered service in March 2011.
