MS Filia Rheni II cabins review
None of the Filia Rheni (formerly Viking Danube) cabins have private balconies. The ship also has no Suite or Veranda (full balcony) accommodations. The highest-category cabins (A and B) feature wall-to-wall picture windows, while C-category cabins have half-height windows. There are five cabin categories in total, with a maximum occupancy of two guests per cabin.
The ship offers four pairs of connecting cabins (which can be booked separately or combined into a suite). These pairs are separated by a dividing wall that can be retracted to create a combined sleeping and sitting area. The connecting cabin pairs are 304–306, 305–307, 308–310, and 309–311.
The following is a review of Filia Rheni staterooms, including furniture, amenities, and complimentary services:
- Hotel-style beds (79 x 63 in / 200 x 160 cm) in all Deluxe Cabins, which can be configured as twin beds, and sofa/Pullman beds (75 x 31 in / 190 x 80 cm) in Standard Cabins. All cabins provide ample under-bed storage for suitcases, dimmable lighting, and a wardrobe with hangers.
- All Deluxe Cabins (categories A, B, and C) feature an opening panoramic window (6.6 x 3.3 ft / 2 x 1 m), while all Standard Cabins (categories C and D) have a fixed large window (6.6 x 1.6 ft / 2 x 0.5 m).
- Private bathroom with glass-door shower, premium “L’Occitane” bath products, and bathrobes/slippers available upon request.
- Additional amenities include direct-dial phone, mini-fridge, personal safe, hairdryer, fresh fruit bowl, and complimentary bottled water (replenished daily).
- Individual climate control and dual voltage (220V / 115V).
- 26-inch HD flat-screen TV with news and movie channels (CNN, CNBC, National Geographic, MGM, Sky Cinema), plus a “View From the Bridge” channel showing real-time webcam footage.
