Hanseatic Nature (2019-built, last drydocked in May 2020) is the first of three Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Expedition-class vessels, with sisterships Hanseatic Inspiration (delivered October 2019) and Hanseatic Spirit (delivered June 2021). These ultra-luxury ships are ice-class PC6 (the highest rating for passenger ships) and are purpose-built for polar expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctica.
The Hanseatic Nature deck plan features 120 staterooms for 230 passengers (limited to 199 guests on Antarctic voyages), served by 170 crew and staff. The vessel has 9 decks (7 accessible to passengers, 4 with accommodations), 3 restaurants (main dining room, specialty, and buffet), 2 bar lounges, 1 swimming pool, 1 outdoor Jacuzzi (whirlpool hot tub), 2 elevators, 16 Zodiacs (inflatable boats for coastal cruising and landings), and 1 aft water-sports Marina Platform.
