Viking Mississippi (2022-built) is the first of six planned cruise ships operated under charter by Viking River Cruises USA, a subsidiary of the world’s largest river cruise company. The riverboat is owned by ECO Shipyards (the shipbuilding division of Edison Chouest Offshore, USA).
Viking Mississippi cruise ship deck plan features a total of 193 staterooms for 386 passengers (served by 180 crew and staff), across 5 passenger decks (4 with cabins), and 3 elevators. Public areas include the Explorer’s Lounge (a two-deck bar lounge with Bow Terrace), The Living Room (indoor lounge with Library), The Restaurant (main dining room with galley/kitchen), River Cafe (indoor-outdoor Lido restaurant and bar), Aquavit Terrace (indoor-outdoor Lido lounge with BBQ), and the Sun Terrace (outdoor lounge with sundeck and swimming pool/Infinity Plunge Pool).
Each cabin deck is equipped with a launderette (self-service laundry room). Of the vessel’s three elevators (glass-door lifts), two are located midship in the Atrium, and one is positioned forward on the port side. All elevators serve decks 1 through 5. In addition, all decks are interconnected by staircases located forward, midship, and aft.
