Princess Cruises announced that it had suspended calls to Saint Petersburg (Russia).
According to the cruise company, the health and safety of passengers and crew was a top priority, therefore it had cancelled all calls to Saint Petersburg from the end of April until September.
There were planned calls for 3 Princess cruise ships for the 2022 Baltic Sea voyages, including Enchanted Princess, Island Princess, and Sky Princess, all of which will be dropping Russia from the summer itineraries.
Princess Cruises said that in light of the recent attacks by Russia in Ukraine, they had modified itineraries on 24 cruises that call in Saint Petersburg with alternative ports.
"We appreciate your patience as we took the time to confirm replacement ports, as the safety and security of our guests and teammates is our highest priority. Guests of impacted voyages will be contacted directly. Today and always, we stand for peace.”
