CCL-Carnival Cruise Line launches the VeriFLY health app in all homeports

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is now making health screening simpler for its guests.

Following the successful pilot of VeriFLY by Daon, a free digital health app allowing vaccinated passengers to easily submit pre-embarkation information, the company launched the app fleetwide for all cruise ships in all of its U.S. homeports, making it the largest cruise company to utilize VeriFLY.

Passengers who use the app can expect the time it takes to complete the assessment process during embarkation to be cut by 50%.

Using the VeriFLY app has been an easy choice for travellers from the start. In the first test of the pilot program in January, ahead of a voyage on Mardi Gras from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida), over 85% of the ~2,000 guests who opened a mail invitation followed via downloading the app.

Available in the App Store/Google Play, once guests download the VeriFLY app, they can then search for Carnival and complete the required steps.

Passengers will be asked to submit required documentation, including their vaccination status and COVID test results. When the process is completed, a VeriFLY pass will be issued to present at embarkation.

Those who choose not to complete the process are still able to complete their pre-cruise tasks on Carnival's website and present required COVID documents during embarkation.
