MSC Cruises passengers stopping in Brindisi (Italy) will be able to choose from a richer range of shore excursions.

On the occasion of the weekly call of MSC Armonia, a new shore trip has been made available to cruisers for all those who wish to take a guided city tour. The unprecedented excursion is available for all 26 weekly calls that the liner has yet to make during the summer cruise season, which is due to end on November 14.

During the shore excursion, it is possible to visit the two most important castles of the port city, Castello Alfonsino and Castello Svevo. A cultural tour was carried out by MSC Cruises thanks to the tourism promotion implemented by the Municipality of Brindisi, aiming to enhance a new experience of visiting Brindisi, overlooking the sea. The port is historically considered one of the major in the Mediterranean and is as well recognized by Unesco as a "witness and monument of peace, a world heritage site".

Swabian Castle's visit is a chance for cruisers to visit the property and is a gift from the Municipality in collaboration with the Navy. Alfonsino Castle reopened to the public in 2020 due to important restoration works carried out by the Ministry of Culture. It is being handed over to the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage of Brindisi and Lecce.
