Ponant Cruises debuts the fully refurbished 3-masted sailing yacht Le Ponant

The French ultra-luxury travel company Ponant Cruises will debut its 3-masted sailing yacht Le Ponant after a drydock refit and refurbishment managed by Jean-Philippe Nuel Studio.

In August, the 288-ft ship is scheduled to relaunch in the Mediterranean with 10 departures and 3 new itineraries, followed by winter 2022-2023 season in the Seychelles and summer 2023 season in Kimberley Western Australia.

The first journey will depart on August 14 with a 7-night itinerary along Croatia’s coastline, out of Dubrovnik via Kotor Bay, and on to the Adriatic islands of Mljet, Korcula, Vis, Hvar, Brac, as well as the Elaphites archipelago (Sipan and Lopud).

In August, Le Ponant is due to depart on a 7-day island-hopping around Greece. Out of Dubrovnik, the boat will head to the Ionian and Aegean seas, stopping in Paxos, Kefalonia, Monemvasia, and Kythnos with its 100+ beaches.

In September, Le Ponant is due to will circle around the Cycladic islands in Greece on an 8-day itinerary beginning/ending in Piraeus-Athens. Passengers will enjoy access to exclusive island ports on Folegandros, Kythnos, Monemvasia, Polyaigos (uninhabited island near Milos and Kimolos), Spetses, Tinos.

New for 2022 is the 9-night “The Seychelles Under the Trade Winds” itinerary, with a total of 11 departures during 2022-2023 season. The roundtrip from Mahe explores a new island each day, including 2 new for Ponant ports - African Banks (north of Amirante Islands) and Therese Island, both of which are uninhabited. 

In summer 2023, Le Ponant will set sail for Australia’s northwest with 26 departures to Kimberley’s coast.
