Le Ponant deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Ponant Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Le Ponant cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Le Ponant staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
Le Ponant yacht (1991-built, last refurbished in 2021) is a top-luxury 3-masted sailing yacht owned and operated by Compagnie du Ponant. She is deployed in the Mediterranean during summer (May through October) and in the Indian Ocean (Maldives and Seychelles) during winter (November through April).
The Le Ponant deck plan features 4 passenger decks (3 with cabins), a total of 16 staterooms (all outside, including 5 with balconies and 11 with windows), 1 restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating, 2 bar lounges (1 indoor, 1 outdoor), wellness facilities (spa and gym), an infirmary/hospital, and a spacious sundeck. The yacht’s current maximum passenger capacity is 32 (reduced from 67). With a crew of 32, service is highly personalized and friendly.
Guests are mainly European, though chartered cruises are frequently arranged by North American tour operators. Private charters are also available, offering tailor-made itineraries focused on specific interests.
Weather permitting, the yacht often cruises under sail. In such cases, all passengers receive a fuel rebate credited to their onboard accounts. Dining onboard is a gourmet experience, with cuisine prepared by a Michelin-starred chef leading the galley team, alongside a dedicated pastry chef.
Le Ponant yacht refurbishment 2020-2021-2022
Between November 2019 and April 2020, the yacht underwent a major refurbishment. The six-month drydock project (USD 25 million) was carried out by San Giorgio del Porto SpA (shipyard in Port Genoa, Italy), with designs by Jean-Philippe Nuel Studio (architecture and interior design firm based in Nogent-sur-Marne, France).
Approximately 200 workers were involved in the 2019–2020 refit. The project included redecking all outdoor areas, installing new sundeck furniture (padded loungers, deckchairs, tables), redesigning the Marina Deck (with new furnishings), and a full renovation of the Main Lounge (now featuring contemporary window-seat sofas and low tables with armchairs). Both the Dining Room and Alfresco Terrace were redesigned and refurbished.
The vessel’s lighting was upgraded to LED, and all indoor spaces received new flooring. All staterooms were fully renovated with new furniture, flooring, wall finishes, blinds, window shades, and bathrooms.
Two venues — the Saphir Lounge and Karukera Restaurant — were removed to allow larger spaces for the remaining Restaurant (Le Diamant) and Bar Lounge (Emeraude). The indoor Observatory (forward on the top deck) was also removed to expand the sundeck. The infirmary was relocated from Deck 2 (Saint Barth) to Deck 1 (Mistral).
Decks were renamed: Mistral (formerly Marie Galante), Alizés (formerly Saint Barth), and Zéphyr (formerly Antigua).
After the refurbishment, the yacht’s capacity was reduced from 32 to 16 staterooms, and from 67 to 32 passengers. This adjustment improved the guest-to-crew ratio from 2:1 to 1:1, ensuring even more personalized service.
The vessel was previously drydock-refurbished in 2011.
