Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
Le Champlain deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2020-2021-2022 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Ponant Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Le Champlain cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Le Champlain staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
MS Le Champlain (built 2018) is the second in a 6-ship series representing Ponant's newest Explorer-class megayachts - together with the sisterships Le Laperouse (2018), Le Bougainville (2019), Le Dumont d'Urville (2019, originally "Le Kerguelen"), Le Bellot (2020) and Jacques Cartier (2020, originally "Le Surville"). Each of these mega-yachts features ice-strengthened hull, sleek-design superstructure, aft-located sun deck (with swimming pool) and retractable marina (for deploying water sports equipment), its own fleet of Zodiacs (large inflatable boats used for passenger tendering, landings in remote locations).
Le Champlain cruise ship deck plan has a total of 92 staterooms for 184 passengers, served by 110 crew/staff. The ship has 6 passenger accessible decks (including 4 cabin decks), 2 restaurants (indoor and outdoor), 4 lounges and bars, 1 swimming pool, wellness complex (Beauty Salon, Spa and Fitness), 1 boutique shop, 3 elevators (connecting all decks), marina platform (for watersports and Zodiac launching), 2 tender boats.
Ponant's new ships are considered "polar cruise yachts" (LOA length 127 m / 416 ft) with shallow draft (only 4,5 m / 15 ft), specifically designed to provide "private yacht"-like polar travel vacation experience.
